Serveurs Dell PowerEdge R7425 – neufs et reconditionnés

FAQ

How does the Dell PowerEdge R7425 differ from other Dell servers?

The R7425 is a dual-processor rack server built around AMD EPYC. Its key advantages include two SP3 sockets, up to 128 PCIe lanes, and 32 DDR4 memory slots supporting up to 2 TB of RAM. This is a machine designed for environments that demand high core counts and memory bandwidth - not for office workloads or basic backup tasks.

Which AMD EPYC processors are available in the Dell PowerEdge R7425?

Hardware Direct offers configurations with EPYC 7302 (16 cores), 7402 (24 cores), 7502 (32 cores), and 7702 (64 cores) processors. With two SP3 sockets, a fully configured server can handle up to 128 threads simultaneously - which translates directly into stronger performance for virtualisation, databases, and analytical workloads.

Is the Dell PowerEdge R7425 suitable for virtualisation and database workloads?

Yes - these are among its primary use cases. The high EPYC core count, up to 2 TB of ECC RAM, and fast SAS or NVMe storage make the R7425 a solid choice as a VMware ESXi host, container platform, or OLAP database server. The AMD architecture also offers licensing advantages for SQL Server deployments billed on a per-core basis.

What is the maximum storage capacity of the Dell PowerEdge R7425, and which drive types does it support?

Depending on the chassis configuration, the R7425 supports up to 24 x 2.5" drives or up to 12 x 3.5" drives. The H740P RAID controller with cache battery enables RAID 10 and other RAID levels across both 12G SAS drives and NVMe SSDs, delivering highly responsive storage environments.

Are Dell PowerEdge R7425 servers at Hardware Direct new or refurbished?

Hardware Direct offers both new and off-lease (recertified) R7425 configurations. Every unit goes through laboratory testing and is delivered with the latest BIOS and a pre-configured RAID controller. Warranty options of up to 36 months are available, along with remote or on-site technical support.

Can the Dell PowerEdge R7425 be ordered with a pre-installed operating system?

Yes. Hardware Direct offers configurations with Windows Server 2022, VMware ESXi, or another operating system specified by the customer pre-installed. On request, we can also pre-configure networking and RAID so the server is ready to go the moment it arrives, with no additional setup work required.
