Serveurs rack Dell G13 – neufs et reconditionnés

FAQ

What defines the Dell PowerEdge 13th Generation server platform?

Dell 13th Generation (G13) servers are PowerEdge models such as the R630, R730, and R730xd, manufactured between 2014 and 2016. They feature Intel Xeon E5 v3/v4 processors, support large amounts of DDR4 RAM, and offer extensive storage expansion options. This makes them a popular choice for businesses looking for reliable, proven infrastructure.

Are Dell G13 servers available as refurbished units?

Yes, Dell G13 servers are available both new and as refurbished (recertified) units. Refurbished devices undergo technical inspection and are a solid option for businesses looking to build dependable infrastructure on a tighter budget.

What are Dell G13 rack servers suitable for?

Dell G13 rack servers are well suited for use as file servers, database servers, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and backup solutions. Their modular design and the availability of spare parts mean they can serve reliably in enterprise data centres for many years.

What should I consider when choosing a specific Dell G13 rack model for my business?

The key factors are your intended workload, the required number of drives, and rack space density. Single-unit models like the R630 are a great fit for virtualisation where rack space is limited. If storage capacity is the priority, a two-unit model such as the R730xd is the better choice. It is worth consulting with an advisor before purchase to ensure the right configuration.

Can additional components and accessories be purchased for Dell G13 servers?

Yes, the Dell G13 ecosystem is well supported in terms of spare parts - RAM modules, SAS/SATA/SSD drives, RAID controllers (such as the PERC H730), and redundant power supplies are all readily available. Upgrading or repairing a server does not require replacing the entire unit.

What is the difference between a new and a recertified Dell G13 server?

A new server comes from the manufacturer or an authorised distributor and is covered by a full factory warranty. A recertified (refurbished) unit has been technically inspected and had any worn components replaced - it functions properly, but the warranty may be shorter or structured differently. The choice between the two largely comes down to budget and support requirements.
